The pain and discomfort due to impacted teeth is quite similar to that of teething pain in the babies. Many people get selling and pain in the gums. If the impacted tooth is one of the molars, it can cause pain in temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The jaws can become swollen and you will have difficulty in eating and speaking.

It would be worth mentioning here that adjustment of your bite can result in extra stress on your TMJ. This stress can further lead to spasms. The pain due to spasms can get radiated to the head and neck area, thus leading to the headache of some intensity.

Treatment
Headache, or any other pain, due to impacted teeth can be relieved if you take some over-the-counter painkillers. However, the experts suggest that you should get full treatment for the root cause because painkillers can only mask the pain.
